Grain Flow Forging

Mizuno’s patented process forms a precise iron head through multiple forging stages from a single steel billet. The controlled natural grain structure supports consistency, integrity and the distinctive impact feel associated with Mizuno forged irons.

The head and hosel are shaped as one continuous piece. Production at the Chuo plant in Hiroshima combines high-pressure forging, precision trimming, grinding, plating and experienced hand inspection.
